Centre for eLearning Development - About CeLD
Mission Statement
The mission of CeLD is:
- to ensure that the University
plays a leading role in the development of eLearning
- to enable the University to fulfil the goals for eLearning outlined
in the Learning, Teaching & Quality Enhancement Strategy.
These goals include ensuring:
- that there is a basic Web-presence for every unit offered by
the University
- the development of a number of eLearning and mixed-mode programmes
- the
integration of eLearning with key student processes.
Core Activities
The core activities of CeLD are as follows:
- Provision of advice, training, development services and on-going
support to staff in the use of C&IT in Teaching & Learning
- Student support
- Managed Learning Environment (WebCT)
- General Staff Development
- Collaboration
- CPD Development and Support
