Centre for eLearning Development - Research

Current Research

CeLD has a research role and is currently involved in two European funded projects:

• iLab
  iLab is working towards the development of a sustainable and scaleable European virtual laboratory for teachers and trainers in the use of ICT in education and training.
  
  
• UNIVe
  The UNIVe project is aiming to develop the model of small state e-university in the Eastern European country of Estonia and apply this integrated e-university model to the wider eLearning community.

CeLD is especially interested in exploring the role of eLearning in the creation of virtual communities and in the role of the Internet in enhancing social inclusion.
