How to print to a print station - step by step:

1. Send your print job from the lab computer

    • From your application (eg Word, Excel) select File then Print
        • for standard double sided printing select twosided. For single-sided printing select onesided - the default setting is double-sided.
        • for other types of printing (ie colour,A3 etc) see our queuenames page
    • Select Print.

2. Release your print job from the Print Station
Your print job sits on a server (for a maximum of 12 hrs) until you release it at a print station on campus (dissertation, A3 and colour print jobs must be released at the relevant print stations in the 1a11a Student Print Suite or Library). To release it:

    • Click on the mouse or keyboard to remove the screen-saver. A log on window will appear.
    • Log on with your usual network username and password.
    • A screen will appear which will show only the jobs you have sent to print
    • Use the mouse to select the document you wish to print - NB: your document must be highlighted otherwise the Print button remains greyed out.
    • Select Print. If you want to print all of the documents you have listed then select them all and then press Print.

3. Log off the print station and collect your print job from the printer
