The archives and special collections area is a new addition to the university library where our historical collections will, for the first time, be fully accessible to researchers. This area includes a reading room for the consultation of archives and rare books; a new exhibition space where material from our collections will be displayed; and improved storage which will contribute towards the continued preservation of the collections.

The reading room is located on the ground floor (level 2) of the library and is open from 9.30 am – 4.45 pm Monday – Friday (and at other times by prior appointment). Material can be ordered in advance of your visit by using the archives & special collections request form. Further information about using the reading room can be found here.
