Understanding Your Reference

When following up references to journal articles you are looking for the journal title.

For example you have the following reference:

Bond, Michael. (2003) The pursuit of happiness. New Scientist,
179 (2415) October pp. 40-43

So you are looking for the journal title New Scientist.

Finding the Journal

  • Search for the Journal Title on the Library Catalogue - covers paper & electronic journal titles

Journals not Held by Stirling University

If you have tried step 1 and 2 above and haven’t found the journal listed, then Stirling University doesn’t have access to the journal.

Then try:

  • Searching SALSER to find a Scottish library which holds the journal, and check details for visiting other libraries
  • Or use the Library Document Delivery Service (restricted to certain categories of user)
