PLEASE NOTE THAT FROM JANUARY 2009 THE VAST MAJORITY OF UNDERGRADUATE DISSERTATIONS ARE NOT AVAILABLE FOR REQUEST DUE TO THE LIBRARY REDEVELOPMENT PROJECT.

A list of electronic undergraduate dissertations can be seen here (a Stirling network username and password is required to access these theses)
See a list of all the theses in the library (from both taught courses and research work). (Use the "modify search" button to search within this list, e.g., for a student's name, course, thesis subject, or thesis title.)
To view the full text of the electronic dissertations you will need to enter your "My Library Record" details.
To request retrieval of a thesis from store for consultation, use this form.
STORRE: Stirling Online Research Repository contains electronic versions of research theses completed at the university. These can be viewed over the internet instantly. Almost all research theses written after mid-2006 will be available through this service, along with some older theses. (If you have completed a research thesis at Stirling University you can deposit your thesis in the Repository).
The Library should also have a paper copy of every University of Stirling research postgraduate thesis. See a list of all the theses in the library (taught and research). Use the "modify search" button to search within this list, e.g., for a student's name, course, thesis subject or thesis title. A list of theses completed by students in the Department of Nursing and Midwifery is available from their Departmental website.
Paper theses are kept in a store room. To view one of these theses you should complete a thesis request form and it will be brought from the store for you to consult within the library (theses cannot be borrowed). Occasionally, a thesis may be "embargoed" because it contains confidential or commercially sensitive information. Embargoed theses are not available for consultation.
If you are from another institution and wish to read a Stirling University thesis you should check to see if it is available via the Repository. If it is not available electronically you could visit Stirling University Library to view the paper copy, or request the thesis through your own library's Inter Library Loan department. (If you plan to visit the library, please check our Opening Hours, and remember to request that the thesis be brought from the store room in advance of your visit.)
You could try one of the following services to locate theses by students from other institutions.
